Xiaomi’s 7th Mi Fan Festival in Sauraha, Chitwan saw a line-up of new products in Nepal. The April 6 event hosted by Mi officials launched the 90-point metal suitcase, Mi Minimalist Backpack, Mi Smart Scale, Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch, Mi Sports Wireless Earphone, Mi Bluetooth Speaker, Mi Travel Suitcase among others.
The Mi Notebook Air laptops have come to the Nepali market as the first products in their laptop and computer range.
Its 13.3-inch and 12.5-inch variants are available in retail stores and at Mi showrooms too.
These latest offerings — Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch and 12.5-inch is priced at Rs 1,17,999 and Rs 84,999 respectively. The laptops claim to be high performing within a budget.
According to the company source, “So far the response has been great. These new laptops are the first under our computer range to be introduced in the Nepali market. Slowly Xiaomi products are gaining popularity and with the launch of more varieties, Xiaomi is securing a better position in the market.”
The first of its kind in Nepal, these laptops seek to impress with a sleek and minimalistic design backed by great
performance. The Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch weighs about 1.07 kg and has a 12.5-inch full HD IPS display supporting 1080 x 1920 (176 PPI). With an Intel Core m3 processor and 4GB RAM, it will not disappoint users. It comes with a 128GB SATA ensuring a lot of space. Also for music enthusiasts, its Realtek ALC233 AKG Customised dual speaker will steal the show.
The source mentions that this laptop is aimed towards a crowd who require portability, performance and affordability packed into one. It has a 1MP camera that allows 1280 x 720 quality on video calls. Its Lithium-ion polymer battery with 600Wh/L 37 watts capacity gives users 9.5 hours of video playback and 7.5 hours of web browsing and local video playback. The Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch runs on operating system Windows 10 and is available in Silver and Gold colour options.
The Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch, the other model launched, is portable, convenient weighing about 1.28 kg and has a sleek exterior with a dimension of 309.6×210.9×14.8mm. With a 13.3-inch FHD IPS screen supporting 1080 x 1920 (166 PPI), the display definitely comes to life. The Mi Notebook Air is equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor and an 8GB RAM that will not disappoint users in terms of performance.
Giving you enough space, the Mi Notebook Air 13.3 comes with a 256GB PCIe doubled with 4 NVMe SSD and 1GB GDDR5. Also music enthusiasts will be pleased with its Realtek ALC255 AKG Customised Dual speaker and Premium Dolby sound — Advanced Edition.
